Here we go again. Finished harvesting except for those lemons we absolutely could not reach. I have seven+ bushels of lemons from which I now have to make lemon curd. I think I could supply an entire Marine battalion with lemon curd for a year.
I threw a couple normal lemons in the above picture for the sake of comparison. You would not believe the size of these lemons – some of the lemons we picked could take on a pomelo– no doubt.
So here’s the catch. I burned out the motor in my juicer. Had to order a new industrial strength juicer. It’s coming Friday. Next week I will turn into a juicing fool. Need more jars too.

Do the lemons from that tree always come out looking like that?
Probably a quarter of them do. It’s a dwarf Mediterranean lemon tree which grew to gigantic proportions and began to produce these Buddha hand lemons after a few years. Weird. The fragrance of these fruits is heavenly though.
